The
StarLite 2000, with its new LED technology
and independent battery system, is designed
to increase the visibility of moored boats.
Its patented design allows the StarLite
to operate at 0.09 watts on 1.5 volts and
makes it two hundred times more efficient
than a 20-watt light.
200 Hours of Power
Using a single D-cell battery, the StarLite
2000 will be powered for over 200 hours,
and a battery clip with four D-cells will
power the StarLite 2000 from dusk to dawn
for over three summer months. When powered
by D-cells, the StarLite 2000 operates independently
from the boats battery system so that
it will not affect other crucial systems.
The StarLites built-in controls give
automatic dusk to dawn operation with no
human intervention, making it ideal for
unattended boats.
Features of the StarLite include:
|
Automatically turns on at dusk and off
at dawn
Comes equipped with a 360 degree
white light that provides a one-mile
plus range
Creates a safe visual warning
to oncoming vessels
Its LED light source ensures
that the StarLite 2000 has a minimal
effect on the night sky in harbors |
Solar StarLite
The Solar StarLite uses a single cell 3.6-volt
lithium ion rechargeable battery, which will
last for up to 10 years with zero maintenance.
A two-inch by two-inch solar panel mounted
on the top of the light housing provides sufficient
power for year-round use south of the 34th
parallel. Seasonal use is recommended for
northern latitudes.
